Cruising 101: Ocean VS River Cruising
It wasn’t until I became a travel agent that I went on my first cruise. I’d travelled fairly extensively throughout my life, by car, train, plane and even motorcycle. But I simply couldn’t grasp the attraction of living aboard a floating tin can that heaved upon the high seas. I had friends who wouldn’t vacation any other way! They felt pampered and safe while enjoying the many activities on board and the opportunity to visit numerous destinations with only having to unpack once. Despite their convincing arguments, they couldn’t persuade me to abandon the pleasure of basking on the beach at an all-inclusive, or the fun of planning and executing complex land-based itineraries.
