How I Built Pedal Works Café &Studios

Pedal Works Café & Studios was created to be more than just afitness space—it’s a community hub where wellness, creativity, and connectionintersect. The vision began in 2014, when I imagined a place where I could usemy skills and passions to offer something truly unique. After leaving anunwelcoming work environment, I decided to invest everything I had—my savings, home equity, and heart—into making this dream a reality.

At the core of Pedal Works is the Spinning® Program, reflecting myexpertise as a Spinning® Master Instructor. We pair it with restorative yoga tobalance the strength we build on the bike with practices that relieve life’sstresses. This harmony supports physical and mental well-being, while ourmembership community fosters accountability and connection, encouragingeveryone to move and grow together.

Our café is a gathering place that also serves as anart gallery, showcasing work by local and diverse artists. We support otherlocal small businesses including, https://www.jobwell.ca/ for our baked goods, https://www.proudlyindigenous.com/for our tea & D'vine Connexions for our coffee.  We also host events like the First FridayEntrepreneur Networking & Social, where professionals network and exchangeideas.

Pedal Works Café & Studios is also an event spacewhere creativity flourishes—from paint nights, community celebrations, workshops & private parties. It’s a space built with intention, provingthat with resilience, collaboration, and purpose, we can create places wherepeople truly belong.
